Clearspan, Traditional, or Oriental?
The type of marquee you choose can not only reflect your unique style, but also make the most of the space you have available. Clearspan marquees are open framed steel structures with PVC walls, which create a blank canvas for you to style however you wish. Clearspan marquees can be customised with panoramic windows, clear roofs and panoramic gable ends, peaked roofs, and a range of beautiful linings including; ivory pleated, ivory flat, printed linings, and starcloth ceilings.
Our Traditional marquee is perfect for rustic, country weddings, made from canvas with a wooden pole structure and stunning high ceilings.
Oriental marquees are square pointed ‘Chinese Hat’ style structures, available in a range of sizes, ideal for small receptions, or to create additional space for chill out, drinks receptions, shade canopies, or as an entrance marquee.
The Site
When thinking about a marquee wedding, it is important to think not only about where you’d like your marquee to be located, but also where your guests will park, proximity to neighbours, accessibility for contractors, where the toilets can be sited, and space for your caterers. We have a range of flooring options available to suit every budget, from corn matting to boarded floor with carpet, or a fully levelled cassette flooring system. With our specialist FloorStak floor levelling system we are able to build marquees on uneven or sloping ground to the highest standard of finish – which means you don’t need to discount a site just because it’s unlevel or a sloping field!
Once you have decided on your style of marquee and have an idea of the furnishings you would like, we’ll put together a 2D and 3D cad drawing to enable you to visualise your marquee. A member of our friendly team will arrange to meet you for a site visit to measure up, plan your marquee layout, and ensure that we can access your site with our various trailer units, vans, or lorries.
We aim to set up your marquee several days before your event (usually on either Wednesday or Thursday for a Saturday event), so that you have plenty of time to add your personal touches. For your complete peace of mind, we’re available 24 hours a day during your event, and can be called at any time should you need us to keep things running seamlessly.
The Facilities
In addition to your marquee structure, there are a few other essentials you’ll require to turn your site into the perfect wedding venue. When booking your luxury toilet unit, always make sure that you let us know how many guests you’re expecting – and make sure to tell us if you’re having guests camping too, we can then recommend the most suitable size unit for your party. If you’re planning a Sunday event too, we also offer toilet servicing so can ensure that your loos are cleaned and refreshed before you start round two of the party!
One of the major perks of a marquee wedding is being able to supply your own drink, saving you on corkage! If you’re doing this, you’ll want to make sure you hire a refrigerated trailer to keep your drinks cool. All our fridge trailers are fitted with locks, so you can ensure your drink will be kept safe overnight.
Finally, you will need power. To ensure you hire the most suitable generator for your event we’ll always ask for the power requirements of your band / DJ, caterers, and any other suppliers, as well as taking in to account any items we’re suppling such as lighting, toilets, heating, or refrigeration. We are able to offer back-up generators for added peace of mind, this is something your event manager will be happy to discuss with you.
